What you need first
A Dropbox account (Basic free plan works) to own the app
Apps are created in the App Console while signed in, and in development they link to the developer's own account first.
A registered redirect URI that exactly matches the one sent in the authorize request
Dropbox checks that redirect_uri matches one of the values registered in the App Console.
An app icon and a written description of how the app uses the API
Both are required in the production approval application.
Compliance with the developer branding guide and API terms
Apps that don't follow the branding guidelines and terms are rejected at production review.
